New Visa Appointment System

The embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has decided to outsource their visa appointment system to Vodafone as from the 1st of August, in order to improve the efficiency and meet the needs of the visa applicants.

On the 22nd of July the Netherlands' Ambassador signed a contract with Vodafone’s representative Khaled Abdel Latif Mohamed. As from the 1st of August 2010 all applicants can contact Vodafone’s Visa Appointment Center in order to make an appointment. The center can be reached 7 days a week from 8 AM till 8 PM on landline number 0900-70678 or - if applicants are calling from a Vodafone mobile - : 2101. In both cases 2 Egyptian pounds per minute will be deducted from the applicant’s account. Applicants calling to our former Visa Call Center after the 1st of August, will hear a recorded message (24 hrs a day) informing them about the recent changes. The embassy hopes that with this new facility complaints of poor accessibility and long queues have come to an end.
